Following the great success of the Grand Central Station ‘Big Freeze’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwMj3PJDxuo a scaled down version took place today on Queens Rd. Ignored by most, the event was almost a flop. To star in a flop is always a good career move as negative publicity is no worse than good publicity. The three stars await international recognition. In case you hadn't noticed.... It's a film. Click on the arrow, bottom left. A first amongst the collective I think.

Speilberg's just called me and wants to know about the bicycle on the far right.
It's a recumbant. Never seen it here before and I actually loitered in the hope of meeting the owner. I did take a picture of it though and you may well see it in a later, bicycle related, blog entry.
Equity want to have a word with you lot.
I was rather taken with the way the woman in pink stopped, stuffed her shopping in to her hand bag which she then gripped nervously before moving on past the statues - mugging big in Queen's Road ?
It's the way we do it Diplo, they're off their gaurd you see. Stealth mugging.
Well, as you know, I have been a renowned actor and director in my time ("Maplin's Catalogue", 1995 and "Stop, Stop, Stop with Checkmate", 1998). I think this piece is a marginal artistic triumph, perhaps lacking a little ambition. May I suggest that what would really make people notice is if you could stop the first six Boeings on the flightpath into Heathrow one morning? Gosh, it would be fun to watch the other planes weave around them!
Great stuff. Very moving, apart from the cast obviously, who aren't. I too can remain motionless, sometimes for hours at a time. I stare out of the window.
Nice pots Doug and top respect for meeting Johnny Rotten. There, you see, I looked!!
Toby where are you? Have you gone back to the Gobi Desert or just stuck photographing the outside of the old Hoyes Lemonade factory?
Peter, How nice of you to enquire. I'm here, but I've been, now whats the word, working! That's it! Working. Hopefully it will all dry up very soon and I'll be able to revert to these marvelous trivialities.
And how, dare we ask, is the Jeep coming along? Are we 'waiting for parts', 'waiting for warmer weather'. Presumably it's nearly finished. Can't wait to see the results.
'I'm restoring an old Jeep'
'Neither am I'
(with apologies to Peter Cook)
