Park wherever you like.
It’s been like this all summer whilst the students are back at their parents sleeping off the rigours of the last gruelling 8 week term. Next time there is a campaign to introduce residents parking permits please flutter this picture under the noses of the all controlling Council. If the vile ruling had gone through we would have been paying a King’s ransom to park in these near empty streets. So glad people power stopped it.

The Man is threatening parking permits in our bit of the East End. To be fair, we must be the nearest streets to the West End where you don't have to pay... but still...
They are all to be lined up against the wall.
We faught the threat off. It would have been the death of the local shops and yet another stealth tax on us.
Bit spooky that.....was it Swine Flu?
Someone on Rutland's council is going to have to pay for the decision to put traffic wardens (complete with cameras) on to the streets of Uppingham. And for the ticket machines that insist you tap your registration into an awkward, irritating and barely decipherable keypad.
