Christmas Carols.

So far, I’ve not heard Slade’s, ‘So here it is, Merry Christmas’. If I do, and I doubt it will be on Queen’s Rd, that will be the time I roll down the shutters, put the answerphone on and retire from all festivities. That and that bloody Roy Wood, Wizard one really, really piss me off. Gripe over. I do like the effort that the Queen’s Rd. businesses have gone to with all of them having a tree. Must be a sign of improved income as I think this is the first year there has been complete unanimity. Bar Dos Hermanos/Barcelonetta take the biscuit for bewst deco’s, so they will get my hard earned later in the week when I venture out for one to take the edge off. Might have two.

When you go to that dago bar, we want to hear about some serious Lestah office party action with a load of over-tanned, pissed-up slappers on the lash. And if there aren't any, make something up.

Yes, I endorse that Ron. George and I went and had a slap-up pizza in Zizzi's in Market Harborough yesterday lunchtime, and there were the usual scenes of office parties in full swing. But we could only get a table next to two double baggers who talked about which aftershave they'd bought for those closest to them, the thought of which doesn't bear thinking about.

Without going on about it, this has been a bastard of a year for yours truly. But last night I was suddenly filled with a joyous thought that makes me face the coming season with equanamity. And it's simply this. At least I won't go down in history for having sung 'Mistletoe and Wine' and making it rhyme excruciatingly with 'Christian rhyme'. And making a complete twat of myself in front of billions.

There used to be a spiffing Knicker Shop on Queens Road....albeit run by a dragon-like woman who wouldn't allow anyone bar females to try-before-you-buy.

I had to return to M&S for my undies....

Hello Alois, nice to hear you are with us, this sad band of life-traumatised, under-sexed, effed-up voyeurs. I have always held you in the greatest esteem. May 2008 bring you everything you want.

What I love about all this is that we can use someone's blog to chat to each other even when the owner's away on his holidays. It's a bit like breaking and entering his house and using his telephone for five hours. Well, a bit like that.
